We warmly welcome Dr. Joseba Alonso, recently appointed Group Leader of the MRILab, and Scientific Coordinator of the HISTO-MRI Project. Joseba did his undergraduate studies at the University of Valencia, and completed his PhD in experimental atomic physics with Prof. Günther Werth and Prof. Klaus Blaum at the University of Mainz. After a few years in a private consultancy, he joined the trapped-ion quantum information group of Jonathan Home at ETH-Zurich as a postdoc and, later, as a senior scientist. His CV can be found here.
